We'll know more about the promised Spring 2026 Final Cut Pro Creative Summit as FMC releases more specific info. I presume we'll hear about the Summit date in January. The sooner the better as we all have to make arrangements to attend once we know the actual date. The location is still listed as Cupertino as it has been since 2016.
The NAB 2026 FCP track looks different from the regular FCP tracks at NAB in 2025, 2024, 2023, etc. Some people read into this new FMC graphic that the Summit will merge into an FCP track at NAB in Las Vegas. I don't see that. Most everyone who attended the 2024 Final Cut Pro Creative Summit said it was the best one ever so why change a very sucessful fomula?
For me, "An exclusive Final Cut Pro 'track' at Post|Production World during NAB" is not an FCP Creative Summit. The Summit includes a visit to Apple Park, a single intimate location, eight hours times two tracks of FCP and Motion sessions per day and an exclusive presentation and meetings with the FCP/Pro Apps Team.
A normal FCP "track" is not a presentation from the FCP/Pro Apps Team, like we had at NAB in 2017 and 2018, or an Apple booth at NAB. It's some FCP paid sessions like those for Adobe and DaVinci Resolve.
Cupertino is still listed as the location for the FCP Creative Summit and as Gabe pointed out during the Final Cut TV Live stream, the date is TBD. NAB has the date April 18 - 22 and is not TBD. There is also no mention of anything about the FCP/Pro Apps Team at NAB, just an FCP "track".
The FCP Creative Summit is 100% Final Cut Pro and Motion and they are the stars of the event. It's Final Cut Pro and Motion all day two sessions at the same time, concentrated. When the Summit's in Cupertino, It is the largest Final Cut Pro event of the year.
I do expect an FCP feature update (11.3 or 12?) at the Final Cut Pro Creative Summit where it is usually released.
